Get to know me
I’ve have had an interest in psychology for as long as I can remember. This was probably initially influenced by my Grandfather’s career in psychiatry. I’ve always had an interest in people and behavior. In high school, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. Talking to people about their lives- thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships- what could be more interesting or important? I value understanding others and relationships so pursuing a career in therapy made sense to me.
In undergrad I majored in Psychology and thoroughly enjoyed diving deeper into learning about people and mental health. Working in a helping profession always appealed to me. In graduate school, I experienced first hand how meaningful it is to help people as a therapist..
Metal health is so fundamentally important that it gets in the way of everything else if it’s not attended to. When people feel better… just about everything is better. The healthier and happier people are, the better it makes the world. relationships are an important part of life, determining factor of quality of life and happiness
